Alex told his own story on him meeting his Birth Parents in Russia for the first time in 2014 after meeting them in 2013. He managed to trace them through Social Media. Terms & Conditions
Note: I’m Adopted never charges anyone for money. If you have been told of a person who can help with money they will most likely be a private searcher.
We share stories for free for adoptees around the world. That is all we do and help with advice. The people that can help will most likely contact you first but with the help of Social Media it is most likely a free connection. Private investigators charge because they go to the Birth Country and search. We are not affiliated with any Private Searchers and the helpers are just people like you and me.
When sending your story we suggest that you do not use a last name. Just use a first name and possible location. If anyone can help you they will need to contact you. Leaving us your Email to add to your story can be helpful for people to get in touch with you.
We just share the stories that were written by yourself. Please make sure what you write is what you want to share. People that contact you that can help are not affiliated with us. If you want to search privately we have some guides and tips here – https://imadopted.org/finding-your-birth-parents
By sharing your story you agree that it is in the public. This is a open community. If you want to search privately we have resources online that can help. People may reuse your search or story to share to other communities. You are reliable for whoever contacts you about any information as we just share the story you submit.
We recommend that you only share the first name of who you are looking for. Think about the person you are searching for and make is as simple as you can. Add your email on the story or search so that someone can contact you if they find any information.
