Goodbye 2020 – Welcome 2021

I know I am a few days late but what I would do normally is go through a review of the year that had just ended. We all can agree that 2020 was a completely different year for everyone and I am sure it’s not one that we want to look back on. I know that despite the pandemic we all did do some incredible things. We have learned to connect with more people, we all connected so much more through zoom calls, Face Time video calls, all of that. We all had to learn and adjust to the new norm in the world is social distancing, looking out for each other a lot more and as humans when we go through something like this, we do learn and that is one thing that is incredible. I could go on as there are many other things that happened in 2020 that was quite incredible.

For I’m Adopted, we have grown to such an incredible community. We have been quiet over the last week due to Christmas and New Years’ but we have a lot happening this year and we can’t wait to share everything that we will be doing. I want to thank all of our Ambassadors last year who have been heavily involved with I’m Adopted. Their incredible support and commitment to the community have been incredible. We will be opening up our contributor role in a few months that you can apply for through our website. This will give you the chance to grow with us as we expand to other countries and languages. Our Ambassadors are going to be focusing on not only helping others adopted this year but also going through their own personal journeys too. We will be documenting these as well as finishing our TV show that is based on the I’m Adopted community. Daria, Katya, Alex, Chris, Ivan, Anastasia and Wendy, thank you for your on-going contribution to I’m Adopted. I am happy to have each and every one of you part of the team.

I have been busy with my own personal adjustments. I have been working on projects in the background for I’m Adopted as well as making the move to Russia. I will be moving to Russia within the next few months, working on my projects, doing my best to become fluent, connecting more with my Russian family, and focusing on expanding I’m Adopted inside Russia. This has always been a huge goal of mine. We have been doing some work behind the scenes already with the Russian Embassy and this will continue on for the next few months too.

Our live talks with I’m Adopted will also be beginning again soon but it will be a little bit different this year. We have Alex Kuch who is also moving overseas to Germany next week. He has played a huge part with I’m Adopted since the beginning and will be joining us with our live talks via Germany. We also are expanding to more incredible guests and people this year which will provide an insight into adoption down various avenues.

Thank you so all of you for being part of I’m Adopted, the community and the team. We can’t wait to show you what we have in store for 2021 and I can’t wait to begin.

Thank you!

Alex
